ARTIST: Wanda Hubbard
ARTIST: Wanda Hubbard
Wanda Hubbard, was born in Birmingham Alabama and is a self-taught artist. She enjoys painting using vivid colors, studying the techniques used by other artists and experimenting with varying techniques/styles.She began painting in the late 70's with watercolors; botanical themes being her favorite. As an inexperienced painter she was drawn towards watercolors because painting with watercolors is relaxing and forgiving. In the early 90's she began working with oils.
Wanda's work, spanning over forty years, has included various mediums (watercolor, acrylic, oil, ink and resin) but one thing has stayed the same. From the first watercolor to her work today with alcohol inks, her love of brilliant colors continues.
